I met Claire when I was eighteen. After dating for two years I decided that she was "the one." I was still in college and facing years of med school, as well as student loan payments that would last forever. I wanted to marry this girl, but how was I going to afford a diamond ring? Last month we celebrated our tenth anniversary and, as a gift, I had her cubic zirconia replaced with a beautiful princess cut diamond.
