Diamond Necklace With Name Engraved - A Thoughtful Gift

My wife, Susan, loves diamond jewelry. What woman doesn't, right? The thing is I don't mind buying her diamond necklaces and earrings and such. She's worth it. And, she's not picky. Small diamonds are okay with her, she just loves diamonds. My dilemma is in trying to find her diamond jewelry every year at Christmas, her birthday, and our anniversary that we can afford and that she doesn't already have.

This year was particularly daunting. As I looked through the local jeweler's case I couldn't find anything in my price range that Susan didn't already own. She had rings that looked like all the rings available. She had a pair of clover diamond earrings that perfectly matched the ones for sale. She had it all and I was almost ready to give up when I saw a sign in the back of the store that read "Diamond Necklace With Name - On Sale!"

Engraved Diamond Jewelry - A Timeless Tradition

I had to find something special for my special lady who loved her diamonds, so I asked about the sign. It turns out the jeweler was just offering a discount on his engraving services but it gave me something to think about. Of all the diamond necklaces, rings, and other jewelry I'd given Susan, I'd never thought about having it engraved.

Jewelry engraving is most often used on rings, wedding bands and diamond engagement rings in particular, but the fact is that most jewelers can engrave almost anything. As long as there's a large enough space to write a name or phrase, the jeweler can do it. I decided that it might be a nice gift to take an existing piece of jewelry and have part of our wedding vows engraved on it. I did just that and, for the first time in as long as I can remember, an occasion came and went without my buying a piece of diamond jewelry for my wife. And she adored her gift anyway.
